I purchased a pre-owned Rivian from Nucar Hyundai on April 2, 2026. A few days later, I followed up with the dealership regarding pickup and was told they were waiting for a license plate holder to arrive. I found that explanation confusing because the vehicle already had a license plate holder installed when I test drove it. I mentioned this to my salesperson, Farouq, who was outstanding throughout the process and deserves five stars for his professionalism and customer service. On April 8, nearly a week after purchasing the vehicle, Farouq met me in Connecticut at approximately 10:00 p.m. to complete my trade-in and deliver the Rivian. During the exchange, I noticed that the original front license plate holder had been replaced with a tow hook-mounted holder. Given the late hour and my eagerness to get home, I did not question it. Ironically, that replacement holder broke off the very next day while going through a car wash. As I became more familiar with the vehicle, I discovered that the removable Bluetooth speaker, which had been present during my test drive, was missing. While searching the front trunk, I also found paperwork belonging to the previous owner, along with the packaging for the original license plate holder that had been damage. I then discovered a video recording stored in the vehicle from April 6 showing a technician accidentally driving the Rivian into a toolbox. That footage immediately explained why the original license plate holder had been replaced. After inspecting the front of the vehicle more closely, I also found a crack in the front bumper trim that had never been disclosed to me before delivery. I promptly brought these findings to the dealership’s attention. A few days later, I received a call from Guersy Lindor, the Sales Manager at Nucar Hyundai. He explained that although I purchased the vehicle through Nucar Hyundai, it was owned by Nucar Volkswagen, and the damage had occurred while the vehicle was in Volkswagen’s possession. He acknowledged that the dealership was responsible for the incident. We agreed that I would have the vehicle inspected by Rivian at my own expense, a $250 cost, which concluded that the visible damage appeared cosmetic but recommended that a Rivian-certified collision center perform a more thorough evaluation. I then obtained an estimate from a Rivian-certified body shop totaling nearly $4,000 to repair the damaged front trim and related components. I forwarded the estimate to Guersy, who included Edward Campana and Frank Salkovitz in the discussion. Although they were understandably surprised by the repair cost, they accepted responsibility and agreed to pay for the repairs, reimburse me for the replacement of the original license plate holder, and reimburse me for the missing Bluetooth speaker. After several months of communication, Nucar paid the Rivian-certified body shop in full on June 19 for the repairs. However, despite multiple follow-up emails and phone calls, I have received no response regarding reimbursement for the Bluetooth speaker and license plate holder, totaling approximately $350, even though the dealership previously agreed to cover those costs. While I appreciate that Nucar ultimately accepted responsibility for the collision damage and paid for the vehicle repairs, that responsibility also extends to honoring the remainder of the agreement. The dealership committed to reimbursing me for the missing Bluetooth speaker and replacement license plate holder, yet those reimbursements remain outstanding. This entire process has been unnecessarily long and frustrating. What should have been an exciting experience purchasing a Rivian has instead become months of follow-up, additional expenses, and inconvenience. Beyond the repair itself, I paid out of pocket for inspections, incurring rental car expenses while my vehicle is being repaired, and have spent considerable time trying to resolve an issue that Nucar acknowledged was their fault.

Very nice comforting environment, I was ready to spend a little out of budget but luckily the sales rep Billy came to me with an even better and affordable option, so that was much appreciated when they could of just sold me the one I tested first as most dealerships probably would have.
This guy is impossible to talk to. Whenever I asked a question, he’d respond with something completely different, deliberately trying to confuse me so he wouldn’t have to answer a question. If I repeated the question, he’d get annoyed and say things like “listen, I am doing a lot to help you” “the only reason why I came in today was to help you,” as if to make me feel guilty for doing his job. Incredibly rude and condescending. And then when all was said and done he gave the financial aid department the wrong information, which wasn’t caught until after I had driven home and gotten settled. I had to waste another hour and a half of my time to return. He would not be clear with me, he would disappear from his desk for several minutes, he would talk to other clients while still helping me - this guy was a disorganized NIGHTMARE. Then when I finally got to take it over to get it inspected, the guys there asked for verify my address and phone number and somehow that was so incredibly incorrect that I wondered if there was another woman here with the same name. Mike is absolute moron, please if you get directed to meet with him, RUN.

Purchased 2108 GMC Arcadia noticed a week later that the rocker panel on the passenger side was falling off. This could cause an injury entering or leaving the car or completely fall off. Apparently safety is not a concern once car is taken off the lot. Was told if it was noticed before accepting delivery it would have been fixed?? So buyer beware, not going to fix anything once vehicle is picked up.
Great overall experience, made an appointment online and received email with name of sales person and manager and follow up with a text. The car was already in front when I arrived and Anthony explained all functions and features of cars in detail. Very courteous and had a great conversation during the test drive and while waiting for paperwork.
